it’s been a month since it happened.

i honestly needed a month to process the shock. the surprise. the anxiety. the anticipation. the highs. the lows. the excitement.

it was one of those radio-hosted concerts. you know, the ones where they promote the event for about a month prior to the tickets going on sale. finally, the day comes when you can get your hands on a ticket. the concert sells out in less than an hour. the radio station spends the next month giving away FREE tickets to their listeners.

i’m not one to text to win. or call to win. or write to win. or stop-by to win. no matter who is having a concert in my area. no, i just sit back & listen to hundreds of other eager & determined callers get one step closer to their dream.

so you can imagine my surprise when i get a text from a good ol’ college friend. she’s inviting me to one of those radio-concerts. one of those exact concerts that i never thought i would attend. the conversation went a little like this:

free concert – tomorrow night. you down?

who’s performing?

blah blah blah blah JUSTIN BIEBER blah blah blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

okay – – so the night arrives. logistics, of course, get in the way of our dream evening – you know, like red lights & people & annoying things like that.

“pedestrians do NOT have the right-of-way when i’m driving.”

“i have ran three red lights for bieber!”

we park. we run about a mile to the patriot center. find our seats. sit down. look around. quickly determine the audience ages range from 6 years old to 65 years old.

here’s how the night went, prior to justin.

see all my highlights in video here.

((it’s two minutes long))

& then the moment that patriotic center had been waiting for. longing for. justin.bieber. here’s how that went . . .

see BIEBER in video here.

((it’s sixty seconds long))

yes, i was on a cloud (i don’t think it was specifically nine, maybe more like four)

it was truly crazy to be that close to such an icon. whether you love him, hate him, wanna date him – it was pretty awesome.

i’d say that night was a “once-in-a-lifetime” kinda night.

i also understand that 6 year old girls all across the world would kill for a chance to see the biebs in concert.

which is exactly why i accepted the ticket.
